Airbrush Expo Leipzig discontinued

At the general meeting in November 2019, the members of the Airbrush-Fachverband e.V. voted by a clear majority to stop holding the Airbrush Expo in Leipzig with immediate effect. The reasons for this are mainly the cost structure of the airbrush exhibition, the organisation of which the Airbrush-Fachverband had taken over in 2015. In recent years, the event has recorded fewer and fewer exhibitors, while costs and effort have remained virtually unchanged.
In 2018, the Airbrush-Fachverband e.V. had agreed with Leipziger Messe on a 2-year cycle for the exhibition in order to optimise the event concept and to attract new artists to the exhibition. The arguments against the continuation of the event however became stronger and stronger in the ranks of the airbrush trade association, so that it was decided to stop the Airbrush Expo completely. During discussions with various artists, it became clear that for most of them Leipzig was a long way to travel and therefore high travel costs – also compared to similar exhibitions in the Rhine-Ruhr area, for example. There were hardly any regional exhibitors or interested parties.
The Airbrush-Fachverband e.V. would like to thank all previous exhibitors and visitors for their participation and support at the Airbrush Expo, some of them for years. Also a big thank you to the Model Hobby Play Team of the Leipzig Fair for the nice and trustful cooperation. The Airbrush-Fachverband e.V. is already working on new exhibition concepts and options for its members, about which we will inform you as soon as possible.
